Voice-Activated RDR2 NPC AI Mod

Job ID: 39817621

Budget: $20 – $100 AUD

I want to press the regular in-game push-to-talk key, speak naturally, and have any Red Dead Redemption 2 pedestrian answer me as if they were truly alive. The mood of my line—Friendly, Antagonizing, Sarcastic/Joking, and even a bit of light trolling when possible—should guide the reply the AI generates, so a polite greeting feels different from a bar-room taunt.

Here’s the flow I’m picturing:

• The mod hooks into the existing microphone trigger, grabs my voice, and runs speech-to-text.
• It sends the transcription (plus simple metadata such as NPC identity and the detected tone I select or toggle) to an LLM prompt engineered for “RDR2-NPC-style” dialogue.
• The returned sentence is fed back into the game: subtitles appear, the correct NPC lip-syncs or at least speaks through a cowboy-gravel TTS, and local crowd reactions fire if needed.
• All of this should feel seamless inside Story or Free Roam with no extra UI clutter.

I’m happy if you build on Script Hook RDR2, .asi, or a Lua/CEF wrapper—whatever gives the cleanest install. As long as a newcomer can drop files in the game folder, map the mic key, paste an API key if required, and start chatting, we’re good.

Deliverables
1. Compiled mod files plus readable source.
2. Config file where I can tweak model endpoint, response length, and enable/disable Friendly / Antagonizing / Sarcastic / Trolling modes.
3. Quick setup guide and a short video or GIF demo showing an NPC reacting to at least two contrasting tones.

I don’t need a massive narrative system—just lively, context-aware answers that match the Western flavour. If you can hit that, I’m ready to saddle up.
