AI Upgrade for Product Site

I run a product-focused website that works well in its current form but now needs an intelligent edge. My goal is to weave practical AI into the browsing and buying experience—think smarter search, predictive suggestions, or a conversational assistant that helps visitors find exactly what they need. I do not have any specific AI tools or APIs selected yet, so your first task will be to review the existing stack, propose the most suitable services (OpenAI, Google Cloud, AWS, or other specialised SaaS options), and explain how each would fit my use-case.

Scope of work
• Audit the current site architecture and pinpoint integration points for AI
• Recommend the toolset, outlining pros, cons, and estimated costs for each option
• Implement the chosen solution, whether it’s a custom chatbot, personalised product recommendations, or another AI-driven feature you feel will lift conversions
• Test on both desktop and mobile, optimise for speed, and keep the UX seamless
• Provide a brief hand-off guide so I can maintain or extend the AI layer in future

Acceptance criteria
• AI features run reliably on live site without slowing load time
• Recommendations or chatbot accurately surface products based on user intent
• Implementation follows best-practice security standards and clean code conventions
• Clear documentation delivered at project close
