Senior AI Voice Engineer Needed — Build a Production-Grade Australian Voice Agent
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 AUD
I’m looking for a senior AI engineer (individual only — no agencies, no juniors) to build a production-grade Australian-accent voice agent for a financial services company.
This agent must conduct fully conversational calls (inbound + outbound), qualify leads, and book appointments into my calendar using real-time reasoning, not rigid scripts.
This is not a simple “IVR bot” job — I’m seeking someone who has already built human-level voice automation before.
Scope
Core capabilities
Natural, real-time conversation (<500ms latency)
Australian accent with human-like prosody (RetellAI / ElevenLabs preferred)
Intent detection and multi-intent handling (refinance, pre-approval, etc.)
Dynamic qualification logic (editable, no code changes)
Automated calendar booking
JSON data logging + real-time CRM API push (I use Connective + open API)
Call recordings + transcripts
Smart handoff when confidence drops below threshold
Workflows
Outbound calls to supplied lists
Inbound calls from campaigns
AI gathers structured data → qualifies → books → pushes to CRM
If unqualified, exits politely while still capturing insights
Technical Requirements
Must have direct experience integrating:
RetellAI, Dialogflow, Rasa, or comparable conversational stack
Twilio / Amazon Connect / Retell Voice API
ElevenLabs for voice
API integration (Python/Node)
Calendar APIs
Compliance: call recording, transcript storage, consent handling
Stable, production deployment (Docker, cloud hosting, versioning)
Must deliver:
Source code + deployment instructions (no lock-in)
Documentation + brief video walkthrough
A test phone line
A working demo that books a real calendar slot
Ideal Background
5+ years building conversational AI (voice, not just chat)
Previous voice agent/LLM automation in finance, insurance, or healthcare
Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation + rule engines
