AI Prescription Processing Bots

Electronic prescriptions reach our pharmacy either as faxes or through direct EHR connections, and every one of them must quickly land in PioneerRx with the correct patient information, medication details, and prescribing-doctor data before a claim can be fired off. I want a HIPAA-compliant AI workflow that reads each prescription, pulls those three data groups with high accuracy, populates the matching fields in PioneerRx, and then submits the claim automatically—no manual touch points in between.
After that core automation is in place, a companion bot should monitor refill eligibility, trigger refill requests to prescribers when needed, and post approved refills back into PioneerRx using the same compliance and auditing standards.
The solution has to handle:
• Faxed prescription images (OCR + NLP).
• Direct EHR messages via standard e-prescribe protocols.
I’m open to whichever stack achieves fast, secure performance—Python, .NET, UiPath, Power Automate, or similar—as long as it meets HIPAA requirements and integrates cleanly with PioneerRx’s API layer. A brief proof-of-concept that processes a sample fax and a live EHR feed, shows the populated PioneerRx record, and logs the claim submission will be the first milestone; full production rollout with refill automation follows.
