AI Phone Answering Assistant Setup
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I run a service-based business and want to replace our basic voicemail with an AI-powered telephone assistant that can speak naturally, understand callers, and act on their requests in real time.
I want to be walked through every step of the set up so I can walk others through it in future.
Scope of work
• Advise / recommend an appropriate platform/voice
• Configure and deploy an AI voice agent on our existing phone system (VoIP/SIP).
• Train it to:
– Answer common customer inquiries about our services, prices, and hours.
– Book appointments automatically while the caller is on the line.
– Provide clear, friendly information and escalate to a human only when needed.
• After every call, email a concise summary or transcript to my team so we can track outcomes.
What I need from you
• Advice on the best AI voice platform (Dialogflow, Twilio Voice, Amazon Connect, etc.) for a small service business.
• All setup, scripting, and testing until the assistant runs smoothly on our main number.
• Handover documentation so we can tweak FAQs or appointment slots ourselves later.
Success will be measured by: callers reaching the right information without hold times, successful calendar bookings, accurate email summaries, and zero disruption to our current phone service.
If you have proven experience building conversational voice bots and integrating them with phone systems, I’d love to see your proposal and estimated timeframe.
