Job Description

I run a finance brokerage (Onyx Capital Group) and I need a developer to build a GPT-powered AI chatbot to qualify leads from my website, landing pages, and ad campaigns.

This is not a scripted flow bot (like ManyChat or Tidio). I need a natural language AI chatbot that can handle free-text input, follow qualification rules, and capture structured lead data.

The chatbot will qualify leads across multiple niches:

ABN Holder Car Finance (low-doc)

Prime Movers / Heavy Vehicles

Classic Cars

Consumer New Cars

Motorbikes

Leisure Vehicles (vans, campers, jet skis)

Key Requirements

Collect and qualify leads using my rules (ABN age, GST, docs available, budget, credit profile).

Score leads as Hot / Warm / Nurture and route them accordingly.

Capture contact details (name, phone, email, postcode, best time to call).

Handle edge cases (e.g., severe credit issues → polite decline with next steps).

Send data in a structured format (JSON or similar) into CRM (or fallback via email).

Must include consent + privacy language in conversation.

Tone: professional, plain-English, trustworthy.

I am looking for a one-off setup cost (not a high monthly subscription).

Technical Questions (please confirm in proposal)

I want to fully understand how the bot will work and what I can expect going forward:

Technology – What AI model will power the bot’s responses? (e.g., OpenAI GPT-4, Claude, Google Gemini, etc.)

Flexibility – Will it answer unexpected, off-script questions naturally? (I don’t want a scripted flow bot.)

Training – How will my business information be added? Will I be able to update/train it myself over time?

Learning – Does the bot improve or adapt based on previous lead interactions?

Ongoing Costs – What will the ongoing monthly fees be for hosting, API usage, or maintenance?
