AI Customer Assistant for WordPress

I need an AI assistant embedded into my existing WordPress site so visitors can ask questions and get clear, informative answers. Its single job is to respond to customer queries about our product line and the PhD research that informs those products. Accuracy is critical: replies must draw only from the dataset I supply and never “hallucinate” new facts.

You’ll receive:
• a structured knowledge base containing product specifications, research abstracts and FAQs
• admin access to a staging copy of the site

What I expect in return:
• an assistant that installs as a lightweight, maintainable WordPress plugin (or compatible snippet)
• retrieval-augmented generation or similar technique to guarantee answers stay faithful to my dataset
• responses delivered in a neutral, informative style
• graceful handling of out-of-scope questions (e.g., politely directing users to our contact form)
• a short hand-off document explaining how to update the data source and monitor performance

If this pilot runs smoothly there will be follow-on opportunities—expanding the knowledge base, adding multilingual support, and deeper analytics. Portfolio of previous projects - personal or paid - is required. Looking to hire quickly.
