I’m ready to roll out a conversational AI that leans on the Anthropic API to keep visitors chatting, smiling, and coming back for more. The sole purpose is user engagement, so every design choice should encourage relaxed, back-and-forth conversation rather than rigid Q&A. The bot must use a friendly, informal tone at all times.
Here’s what I need from you:
• A clean, well-commented codebase that calls the Anthropic API (Claude models) and streams responses in real time.
• Conversation logic that lets the bot riff casually, remember short-term context within a session, and gracefully reset when a chat ends.
• A lightweight front-end (web or mobile wrapper—your call) that shows typing indicators, timestamps, and an intuitive text box.
• Simple configuration flags for temperature, max tokens, and system prompts so I can tweak the personality without touching core code.
• A brief read-me covering setup, environment variables, and one-click deployment to my preferred platform (Vercel, Netlify, or plain VPS).
Acceptance criteria
– First message to a new user starts with a warm, informal greeting.
– Responses stay under 200 words, avoid corporate jargon, and never slip into formal language.
– No unhandled errors: network failures return a friendly fallback line.
– End-to-end test proves a full session can be completed in under 5 seconds latency on a modest connection.
