Whimsical AI Children’s Book Illustrations

I have a finished children’s story and now need the visuals to bring it to life. The look I’m after is distinctly whimsical—think playful colour palettes, soft shapes, and a dash of magic—because every page stars friendly fantasy creatures rather than traditional animals or humans.

Scope and deliverables
• One eye-catching cover, print-ready.
• Around 30 illustrated spreads (each spread = two A4 pages), all at 300 DPI.
• Space left in every composition for me to drop in the story text, similar to what you see in many Julia Donaldson titles.
• Consistent characters, setting, and overall style running from page one to the finale.
• Final hand-off as a single, press-ready PDF plus the editable source files you used—whether that’s Procreate, Photoshop, Midjourney prompts, or another pipeline.

Workflow notes
AI tools are perfectly fine so long as the result is child-friendly and you can keep style continuity. Experience laying out picture books for print is a big plus; registration marks, safe margins, CMYK setup, and all that good stuff need to be correct so the printer can run without surprises.

Timeline
The story is locked, so I’d love the full set of illustrations within about four days. If that window feels tight, let me know what’s realistic for you—speed matters, but quality wins.
