Project Overview
We are building a modern, enterprise-grade SaaS platform and need one professional animated avatar to serve as the master template for multiple future characters.
This is a non-talking, idle avatar used throughout a web app.
This is NOT video and NOT MP4.
The final output must be a Lottie JSON animation suitable for a React application.
Core Goal
Create a clean, subtle, professional idle animation that feels alive but calm:
• Eye blinking
• Gentle breathing / body sway
• Soft ground shadow
• Perfect looping
• Transparent background
• Brand-colour-ready accessories
This first avatar must be reusable and technically correct.
Deliverables (ALL REQUIRED)
1. Layered PNG Assets (Transparent)
You must provide separate PNG files, all perfectly aligned, same canvas size:
• Body (NO eyes, NO mouth, neutral clothing)
• Eyes – Open
• Eyes – Closed
• Accessory colour layer
(tie OR shoes OR belt only — flat colour, isolated)
Canvas & Alignment Requirements (Mandatory):
• All PNG layers must use a square canvas (1:1 aspect ratio)
• Recommended size: 1024 × 1024 px
• All layers must share the exact same dimensions
• Character must be perfectly centered
• No cropping, padding, or offset between layers
Requirements:
• Transparent background
• No baked shadows
• No background
• No motion blur
• Assets must stack perfectly with zero offset
2. After Effects Animation
Create a clean idle loop animation in After Effects including:
• Natural blinking (not robotic)
• Subtle breathing / body sway (few pixels only)
• Soft, Lottie-safe ground shadow
• Neutral, corporate SaaS motion style
Do NOT include:
• Talking
• Waving
• Gestures
• Over-animation
• Facial expressions beyond blink
3. Lottie JSON Export
• Export using Bodymovin / LottieFiles
• Transparent background
• Seamless loop (no jump at the end)
• Lightweight and web-performance friendly
• Accessory colour layer must remain separate and controllable later in React
4. Files to Deliver
• Layered PNG assets
• .aep After Effects project file
• Final .json Lottie file
• Optional preview GIF or MP4 (for review only)
5. Visual Style Requirements
• Corporate SaaS
• Clean, modern, Pixar-like but realistic
• Front-facing, neutral standing pose
• Soft studio lighting
• Professional and calm (not playful)
6. Technical Requirements
You MUST have:
• Strong After Effects experience
• Proven experience exporting Lottie for web
• Familiarity with Lottie limitations (no unsupported effects)
• Clean layer naming and structure
How This Will Be Tested & Approved (IMPORTANT)
You must deliver work that passes ALL of the following checks:
In After Effects:
• Animation plays smoothly
• Blink feels natural (not frequent or stiff)
• Sway/breathing is subtle
• Loop is seamless
• Shadow stays grounded
In Lottie Preview (Required):
• Lottie JSON must preview correctly in LottieFiles
• Background must be transparent
• Motion must match After Effects preview
• No flicker, jump, or missing elements
If the animation does not behave correctly in Lottie preview, it will be considered incomplete.
This is a paid test project.
If successful, there will be ongoing work creating multiple characters and variants.
What We Do NOT Want
• MP4 or video-only delivery
• Talking or lip-sync avatars
• Over-animated cartoon motion
• Heavy effects that break Lottie
• AI-generated animation without manual control
