Property-Level Soil & Site Intelligence Pilot for GIS, Landscape & Environmental Professionals

Job ID: 40577735

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I am looking to run a client-paid pilot with GIS, landscape, environmental, irrigation, drone mapping, and agricultural professionals who need location-specific soil and site intelligence reports for active or upcoming client projects.

A generic sample report is attached for review. The sample shows the type of property-level soil and site intelligence output that can be generated from a property address or latitude/longitude and then incorporated into a professional GIS, landscape, environmental, irrigation, or land-evaluation workflow.

I have been speaking with GIS consultants and environmental professionals who perform parcel-level suitability analysis. This pilot evaluates a structured soil and hydrology intelligence workflow designed to reduce preprocessing time and accelerate early-stage site screening. I would value your perspective on whether this type of report and data output would integrate into the kinds of projects you handle.

For each pilot assignment, the participant provides a property address or latitude/longitude. I prepare the soil and site intelligence report and deliver it through Freelancer. The participant may then use their professional expertise to interpret, adapt, and blend the report into their own client workflow.

This pilot is intended for professionals who already work in landscape design, GIS mapping, environmental consulting, irrigation planning, drone mapping, agriculture, land evaluation, or sustainability-related site assessment.

The ideal participant should be able to interpret geospatial, environmental, or soil-related information and turn it into practical written observations that a non-technical client can understand.

Relevant experience may include:
• GIS mapping, QGIS, ArcGIS, Google Earth Engine, or remote sensing
• Soil analysis, drainage review, irrigation planning, or landscape site assessment
• Environmental consulting, land-use planning, agricultural consulting, or sustainability reporting
• Drone mapping, parcel review, or property-level site analysis
• Technical report writing and client-facing PDF deliverables
• Interpreting public soil, satellite, parcel, or environmental datasets

Typical pilot assignments may include:
• Providing a property address or latitude/longitude for a site
• Receiving a location-specific soil and site intelligence report through Freelancer
• Reviewing soil and drainage information for that property
• Interpreting GIS-based site data
• Preparing a clear written site intelligence summary
• Creating landscape, irrigation, or land-use planning notes
• Identifying site constraints, risks, and opportunities
• Blending the report into a broader professional client deliverable
• Reviewing final report language for clarity, accuracy, and usefulness

Pilot Deliverables From Each Participant
Each participant will be asked to provide three short deliverables after reviewing the sample or assigned report:
1 Written use case or quoted use case
A short written example explaining how this type of soil and site intelligence report could be used in one of their real-world client workflows. This may be written as a direct quote or as a short use-case paragraph for documentation.
2 Workflow integration note
A practical note explaining where this report or data output would fit into their current workflow, such as GIS preprocessing, parcel screening, landscape planning, irrigation review, environmental due diligence, drone mapping, site suitability analysis, or client reporting.
3 Direct feedback item for improvement
One clear recommendation for improving the report, data structure, API output, documentation, terminology, map layers, technical library, or client-facing usefulness.

This pilot is suitable for professionals who already provide GIS, landscape, environmental, agricultural, irrigation, drone mapping, or land assessment work and want to test location-specific soil intelligence as part of their existing client workflow.

Please include in your bid:
• Your relevant GIS, environmental, landscape, irrigation, drone mapping, or soil-related experience
• The tools you use, such as QGIS, ArcGIS, Google Earth Engine, AutoCAD, or remote sensing tools
• Examples of similar maps, reports, assessments, or planning work
• Whether you prefer hourly or fixed-price pilot assignments
• Your availability for pilot projects
• The type of client projects where location-specific soil and site intelligence would be useful

All communication, milestone payments, project files, location details, reports, feedback, and delivery will be handled through Freelancer.

By submitting pilot feedback, participants agree that I may use anonymized, edited, or quoted portions of their feedback in product documentation, internal research, and marketing materials, unless they request otherwise in writing through Freelancer.

Reports are intended for informational and preliminary planning support only and are not a substitute for licensed engineering, architectural, surveying, permitting, or regulatory determinations.
