About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Agricultural Expert to collaborate on a series of development projects aimed at improving agri-productivity, sustainability, and rural livelihoods. This is a freelance role—ideal for someone who brings deep field knowledge, strategic insight, and a hands-on approach to solving on-ground challenges.

What You'll Do
Assess soil health, cropping patterns, irrigation, and agri-inputs for target regions
Design and implement crop improvement strategies based on local agro-climatic conditions
Advise on integrated pest management, precision farming, and sustainable practices
Collaborate with local farmers, NGOs, and government bodies to pilot new methods
Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders
Conduct training and capacity-building sessions for farmers or field workers
Stay updated on new agri-tech tools, schemes, and market trends relevant to small and marginal farmers

What We're Looking For
Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, Soil Science, or related fields
5+ years of practical experience in the field (not just research desk work)
Strong understanding of Indian agri-ecosystems, especially dryland or rain-fed regions
Experience working with government schemes, FPOs, or CSR-led agri projects is a plus
Ability to translate technical insight into actionable plans for non-technical stakeholders
Fluent in English; regional language fluency (Telugu/Kannada/Tamil/Hindi) is a major bonus
Self-driven, curious, and comfortable working independently or with distributed teams
