Scrum Master and Project Manager for Technology Initiatives (EST Hours)
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
Engagement: Ongoing part-time contract, 20 to 30 hours per week to start with room to expand.
Time Zone: Must work core hours in US Eastern Time. Daily overlap of at least 5 hours with 9am to 5pm EST is required. Non-negotiable.

Overview
We're looking for an experienced Scrum Master or Project Manager to support our technology team on a range of initiatives including web projects, system integration, and ERP work. You'll facilitate sprint planning and standups, coordinate across technical and business stakeholders, remove blockers, and deliver weekly status updates to leadership.
You'll help maintain project velocity, ensure clear communication between developers and stakeholders, and keep our roadmap on track. You should have hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and able to translate technical progress into business language for non-technical audiences.

We are a publicly traded specialty retail franchisor headquartered in Colorado with roughly 150 franchise locations, 100 cobranded stores, and 3 corporate stores across North America. Company name will be shared with shortlisted candidates after NDA.
About the Role
You'll report to the Director of Information Technology. You will not be writing code. You'll be the person who keeps engineers, analysts, operations, marketing, and executive stakeholders moving in the same direction.
We run on a 4DX (Four Disciplines of Execution) framework with Monday leadership meetings chaired by our interim CEO. You'll plug into that cadence and reinforce it.
Responsibilities
- Run daily standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives across two to four concurrent project tracks
- Maintain backlogs and status dashboards
- Track blockers and drive them to resolution
- Prepare weekly status reports for executive leadership
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings between IT, operations, finance, and marketing
- Own the project management tool (Jira, Azure DevOps, ClickUp, or Asana; your recommendation welcome)
- Keep our 4DX tracker current and prepare materials for Monday leadership meetings
- Draft meeting agendas, take notes, and publish action items within 24 hours

2. Point-of-sale analytics and reporting across 120+ locations
3. Third-party delivery platform onboarding
4. ERP enhancements and warehouse process improvements
5. 2026 National Convention planning
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager
- Experience running multiple concurrent project tracks simultaneously
- Strong written communication in English
- Comfortable interfacing with executives
- Experience with at least one major project management platform
- Proven ability to work EST hours consistently
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in retail, franchise, food service, or consumer goods
- Exposure to 4DX or similar execution frameworks
- Experience coordinating across IT, operations, and marketing
- Prior work with publicly traded companies
