Part-time Technical PM / Product Owner (4 hrs/week) – CBPM SaMD platform

Job ID: 40045277

Budget: $2 – $8 USD

About the project

Human Medtech is building a Class IIa-style SaMD platform for UK medical cannabis (CBPM):

3 portals: Clinic, Patient, Pharmacy, plus a clinical decision support layer

~200 documents already written (system overview, epics, feature docs)

v1 user journeys and wireframes done; v2 underway to align tightly with the docs

Target: all wireframes by end of December, UI + clickable prototype by mid-January, then 6–9 months of build

The founder has done the heavy lifting on product and documentation. Your main value is being a calm, technically literate buffer between founder and dev team.

Scope & hours

Initial commitment: ~4 hours per week for the next couple of months

Likely to increase modestly as we move into build and refinement

One fixed weekly call: Fridays 10:00–10:30 UK time with the tech team

The rest of the work is async (ClickUp, Figma, Slack)

What you’ll do

1. Understand the system (at the right depth)

Read the core docs (system overview, clinic/patient/pharmacy portal overviews, CDSS overview)

Skim the index of feature/epic docs so you know where to look when needed

For any area under active design, read the relevant feature/epic docs in detail

2. Be the buffer between founder and dev team

Join the Friday 10:00–10:30 UK call with the vendor’s PM, tech lead and designer

Represent the founder’s feedback on user journeys and wireframes

Capture decisions, open questions and follow-ups in writing

Keep ClickUp tidy for your areas: clear tickets, priorities and acceptance criteria

3. Sanity-check UX and behaviour

Compare Figma journeys/wireframes against the PRD/feature docs

Flag obvious gaps or misalignments (“this flow is missing X”, “this doesn’t match the spec”)

Add structured comments in Figma / ClickUp on the founder’s behalf

4. Translate feedback into actionable work

Take brain-dump feedback from the founder and turn it into:

Specific comments on designs

Clear user stories / tasks in ClickUp

Short outlines for logic or flows where needed

Priority is always the buffer/translation role and call prep; deeper side-work only happens if there is time.

Minimum profile / qualifications

Must-haves

4+ years working on web/SaaS products (PM, Product Owner, Tech Lead or senior dev)

Strong familiarity with modern JS web stacks (React/Next.js, Node, APIs)

Experience running or working within sprints/Kanban using tools like ClickUp/Jira

Able to read product docs and turn them into user stories and acceptance criteria

Comfortable in Figma for reviewing wireframes and leaving structured feedback

Able to reliably join Friday 10:00–10:30 UK calls and work async during the week

Clear, human written communication; able to push back tactfully on both founder and vendor

Nice to have

Healthtech / medtech / regulated software experience

Experience with decision support tools or audit-heavy systems

UK / EU time zone overlap

How to apply

Please send:

2–3 sentences on your most relevant SaaS / healthtech / complex-product experience

A short example of when you acted as a buffer between a non-technical founder and a dev team

Your availability per week and confirmation you can make Friday 10:00–10:30 UK calls regularly
