Job Description: QA Engineer – Cybersecurity Product (Reverse Proxy Server)
Position Title: QA Engineer
Location: Mumbai, India (Hybrid/Remote options available)
Domain: Cybersecurity – Reverse Proxy Server Development and enterprise data security while using the cloud services
Framework: Agile/Scrum
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and security-aware QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and resilience of a cloud-native reverse proxy server. You will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, automating test cases, and validating security features in a fast-paced Agile environment. Your work will directly contribute to the robustness of a critical cybersecurity product.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for reverse proxy server features leveraging the benefits of Gen AI tools.
• Validate secure communication protocols (TLS/SSL), routing logic, and load balancing mechanisms.
• Perform functional, regression, performance, and security testing across cloud environments.
• Collaborate with developers and the Scrum Master to define acceptance criteria and sprint goals.
• Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and secure coding practices.
• Conduct post-deployment validation and support release cycles.
• Maintain test documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Core QA Skills
• 3+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in cybersecurity or networking domains.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies: black-box, white-box, and grey-box testing.
• Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, PyTest, Postman).
• Familiarity with reverse proxy tools (NGINX, HAProxy, Envoy) and network traffic analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Linux environments and shell scripting.
• Graduate from a Top 50 engineering college in India as per NIRF 2025 ranking.
Cloud & Security Awareness
• Testing in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) including virtualized environments.
• Understanding of encryption, tunneling protocols, and digital certificates.
• Exposure to DevSecOps pipelines and secure deployment practices.
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and vulnerability testing tools (e.g., Burp Suite, Nessus).
Tools & Platforms
• Jira, TestRail, Git, Jenkins, Docker
• Monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, CloudWatch)
• CI/CD integration for automated testing
Soft Skills
