Long-Term Business Analyst Partner - New Mobile/Web App Development

Project Overview
We are launching a brand-new mobile app/web application and seeking an experienced Business Analyst for a long-term partnership (1+ years). This is a greenfield project requiring someone to build the foundation and then continue as our dedicated BA throughout the entire development lifecycle and beyond.

We're looking for a skilled BA to transform our app concept into a well-organized, development-ready project with proper documentation and project management structure.
Key Responsibilities
Phase 1: Foundation & Setup (Months 1-2)
Conduct stakeholder interviews to understand business requirements
Create comprehensive functional and non-functional requirements documentation
Develop user personas and user journey maps
Set up project workspace in Azure DevOps OR Jira with proper workflows
Write initial epic-level user stories and detailed backlog (100+ stories)
Establish project templates, standards, and processes
Phase 2: Ongoing Development Support (Months 3+)
Sprint Planning & Management: Lead sprint planning sessions and backlog refinement
Continuous Requirements Analysis: Gather and document new requirements as project evolves
Stakeholder Communication: Regular status updates and requirement clarifications
User Story Management: Continuously write, refine, and prioritize user stories
Quality Assurance: Review deliverables against acceptance criteria
Change Management: Document and manage scope changes and new feature requests
Release Planning: Coordinate release cycles and feature rollouts
Post-Launch Support: Analyze user feedback and translate into actionable requirements

User story backlog (minimum 50-100 stories)
Project setup documentation and guidelines
Process documentation for ongoing project management
Required Qualifications
Essential Skills
3+ years of Business Analysis experience with long-term project involvement
Expert-level proficiency in Azure DevOps OR Jira
Strong experience with full project lifecycles from inception to post-launch
Proven track record in ongoing sprint management and stakeholder communication
Experience with greenfield projects and scaling project management processes
Excellent communication skills for regular stakeholder interaction
Technical Requirements
Proficiency in requirements gathering techniques
Experience with user story mapping tools
Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Familiarity with mobile/web app development processes
Project Details
Duration: Long-term engagement (1+ years minimum)
Commitment: 20-40 hours/week depending on project phase
Communication: Regular meetings and daily communication via [Slack/Teams/email]
Growth Potential: Opportunity to grow with the project and potentially take on additional PM responsibilities
