One-Day Art Documentary Video Shoot in Pittsburgh (TUD x Matt Gondek)

Project Overview:
We’re producing a short art documentary-style piece for the international brand TUD, which is launching a special collaboration with visual artist Matt Gondek — best known for his explosive “deconstructive pop” style. The shoot will take place in Pittsburgh, Matt’s hometown, and focus on themes of rebellion, destruction, reinvention, and individuality.
This will be a high-energy, punk-inspired visual story that blends raw documentary with stylized imagery — think Dazed & Confused meets VICE with a touch of controlled chaos.
Looking For:
A videographer with own equipment who can work independently and capture high-quality raw footage in a cinematic documentary style. Must be comfortable filming both talking head interviews and handheld/observational B-roll.
Shoot Elements:
• Interview: static setup with Matt Gondek in his studio or creative space (clean audio not required, focus is visual)
• B-roll: artist in action — painting, mixing colors, hands, expressions, art materials, textures, environment
• Lifestyle / Urban Scenes: staged but natural walk-throughs around Pittsburgh with a rebellious, cinematic mood
• Style references:
• Lo-fi documentary vibes
• Visual rawness with personality and punch
• VICE-style portrait realism + Dazed editorial framing
• Imperfection embraced
Deliverables:
• 4K LOG footage (no editing required)
• Footage delivery via Google Drive or any cloud service
• Behind-the-scenes vibe encouraged
Requirements:
• Own gear (camera, lenses, rig preferred)
• Strong eye for storytelling and framing
• Documentary, street, or editorial experience
• Portfolio that reflects energetic, real, and art-driven style
Payment:
• Via freelancer or invoice to Germany
• Project is currently in pre-approval stage — I’m assembling the team to present to the client
