Neomorphism Mobile Design
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
Cyrano is in need of two to three Designers that are masters with Figma and can design on the fly.
They must be completely fluent in English, all design principles, excellent communicators, self-starters, opinionated, creative problem solvers, and very organized. Experience with After Effects and building marketing materials is a plus.
Perks:
The budget for this position is set at $10 USD/hr to start and can start at 20-40 hrs/week for the freelancer but will need to grow to at least 40/week in one month.
At this startup, if profits for the company double, then your hourly pay doubles as well (this happened quickly after hire for one of the developers). We want you to be as invested as we are in this product! If you are a hard worker you will fit right in.
As you understand the application idea more and more the amount of meeting time you will have will go down. So that you can do more of what you love, designing cool things!
There are many chances to grow your skills or whatever way you want here. Whether you have your own idea that you'd like to incubate or you just want to be encouraged to try new things out this is certainly the place. If you want to learn After Effects or do something that isn't exactly on the MVP path but will somehow be useful for the company please let us know so we can find a way to accommodate this by steering in that direction (some of the things our developers have already taken paid time for is learning GraphQL, NgRx, and Ionic).
Expectations:
There will be a meeting of at least 1 hour each day to discuss application design and OPTIMAL user flow where it is expected that the Designer has suggestions regarding general needs of the application.
The Designers and Product Owner will need to be in close contact and heavily engaged in a design discussion throughout the workday especially in the first .
The Interview:
There will be 2 rounds of interview. The first will be a 1 hour design and discussion challenge with the Product Owner since communication will be key, the next will be 30 minutes with the developers.
The Work:
The incumbent is responsible for efficiently designing an application from the Wireframe stage to Full Prototype. Style will be an adapted form of Neomorphism and all animations will be Gooey. Logos, colors, and general user flows are finished but can be open to discussion.
The First Couple Weeks:
Since this application will introduce a new concept, the MVP will require crystal clear onboarding. The first part of the app will be very form heavy like a dating app, so we will need to have stepwise forms.
General Workflow:
You will work closely with the Product Owner on video calls building stories and tweaking things collaboratively in Figma. During this discussion you and the Product Owner will make stories in Trello that you will be able to complete in the coming days. Then you will complete them and they will be reviewed by the Product Owner.
