Founders and SaaS marketing teams drop in their product URL, describe what they want, and WEVI builds the storyboard, writes the script, and generates a premium motion video around their actual UI.
We're early, we're growing fast, and we're building the visual language that SaaS marketing will run on. This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape that language from day one.
The Role
We're looking for a motion designer who lives and breathes After Effects — specifically someone who understands expressions at a deep level and can build templates that feel dynamic, intelligent, and premium.
Every template you build will power real product videos for real SaaS companies. These aren't decorative animations — they are the product. The quality bar is high and the work needs to reflect that.
What You'll Be Building
UI & SaaS Animation Templates
• Short cinematic AE templates — each under 7 seconds
• Templates that animate real SaaS UI elements: button clicks, dropdowns, toggles, form fills, dashboards, modals, notifications, and more
• Every template must accept dynamic inputs: brand colors, UI screenshots, text layers — driven by expressions and dynamic link controls
• Output must render in 1080p and 4K with no quality degradation
Expression-Driven Dynamics
• All customizable properties must be controlled through AE expressions and Essential Graphics panel controls
• Color, typography, and UI elements must update dynamically without manual keyframe adjustments
• Templates must be production-ready for backend rendering pipelines — clean, organized, and documented
Premium Quality — Non-Negotiable
• Every template should feel like it came from a top-tier motion design studio
• Reference quality: Notion, Google, Stripe, Canva product videos
• Smooth easing, intentional timing, cinematic energy — not generic
What We're Looking For
• Deep proficiency in After Effects — expressions are not optional, they are the job
• Strong understanding of UI design and how SaaS interfaces are structured
• Experience building template-based motion systems, not just one-off animations
• Mastery of easing, timing, and motion principles — your animations should feel physically real
• Ability to work within constraints: fixed durations, dynamic inputs, production pipeline requirements
• A portfolio that shows premium, clean, interface-focused motion work
• Bonus: experience with Cavalry or data-driven motion tools
• Bonus: understanding of how AE comps connect to render pipelines (aerender, dynamic link)
What We're NOT Looking For
• Generalist video editors who dabble in motion
• Designers who rely on presets or template marketplaces
• Anyone who can't articulate what an expression controller is and why it matters
• Work that looks like it was made in Canva
