Enhance Old Video - Color grade, Mask, Improve

Hello, this should be pretty easy for somebody who knows what they're doing.

I have an older video that needs some color work to improve the quality.

The current video winner is attached "Improve This"

I want to:

-- Improve watchability
-- Maybe put a mask on the man and play with contrast/sharpening/highlights, etc ... to make him pop a little from the background
-- I'm open to suggestions

I'm also attaching:

-- The "original" that the "Improve This" clip came from
-- "Option 1"
-- Image called "Inspiration" for possible ideas how to improve it

(Feel free to choose which clip to work from that will give you the best possible end result).
