Creative Video Editor for Beauty Brand

I'm looking for a creative video editor to join my small team on a freelance basis to help bring my brand to life through short-form content.

I'm a lash artist, educator, and course creator based in Australia, and I need someone who can take raw footage I've already filmed and turn it into polished, engaging Reels for Instagram — across a mix of content styles.

You'll be editing 5–10 short-form videos at a time across a range of content types including promotional, educational, emotional/storytelling, and marketing content for both my online course and in-person training events. All footage will be provided — I'll put everything into a shared folder for you to work from, so you won't need to chase me for assets.

Down the track, there's also potential to help with editing for my online course content itself — but we'll cross that bridge when we get there. For now, the focus is purely on promotional videos.

What I'm looking for:

- Experience editing short-form vertical video (Instagram Reels)
- A strong eye for pacing, text overlays, and trending audio
- Someone who can work with a brief and run with it without needing hand-holding
- Ability to match a specific brand aesthetic (warm, elevated, minimal)
- Reliable turnaround times and clear communication

Bonus points if you:

- Have experience in the beauty, education, or wellness space
- Understand how to edit for engagement — hooks, captions, CTAs
- Can suggest creative ideas, not just execute them
