Background matte created from video
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a talented digital artist to create a background matte from a video clip. No greenscreen was used, so the background must be traced by hand. The video clip is 212 frames in duration. The desired matte should be solid white with a transparent alpha channel in the surrounding areas. The clip’s format is 1920x1080 Apple ProRes 422, and I will need the matte file delivered in the same resolution (probably an Animation codec to maintain the alpha channel). Once completed, this matte should be ready to drop into After Effects so that I can replace the background myself.
See attached still image for reference of the video clip. All exterior areas outside the truck’s back window need to be matted out (areas within the temporary dotted line). Both characters are speaking so they move quite a bit. A particular challenge will be to trace realistically around the right side character’s curly hair… the edges must appear natural. The side windows do not need to be matted.
