Description:
I’m looking to hire a skilled video editor to help produce high-quality educational videos for an advanced mathematics course. These videos will cover graduate-level and research-oriented math topics, so I need someone who is comfortable handling technical content and can present it cleanly, clearly and professionally.
Responsibilities:
1. Edit and polish lecture-style videos, including correction of pacing, trimming, audio cleanup and visual clarity.
2.Insert equations, diagrams, animations and on-screen highlights where needed.
3. Sync and integrate external media such as slides, screen captures, handwriting tablets and animations.
4. Maintain a consistent visual style across all videos.
5.Provide feedback or suggestions to improve viewer experience.
6.Manage file organization, exports and deliverables.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in video editing for educational or technical content.
2. Ability to handle STEM content (math/engineering/computer science background is a plus).
3. Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve or similar.
4. Experience adding clean on-screen math equations (LaTeX integration or animation skills ideal).
5. Strong sense of pacing and flow, especially for dense content.
6. Attention to detail and ability to follow a structured workflow.
7. Reliable communication and timely delivery.
Nice-to-Have:
1. Experience editing online course content (MOOCs, YouTube lectures, Udemy, Coursera, etc.)
2. Ability to create simple animations or explainers for difficult concepts.
3. Familiarity with Beamer slides, handwriting tablets, or mathematical diagramming tools.
Deliverables:
1. Edited videos ready for upload, ranging from 20 to 40 minutes each.
2. Clean, professional look suitable for graduate-level math instruction.
3. Consistent branding, color themes and typography across the series.
Project Scope:
1. Ongoing project with continuous work for at least 3 months as multiple modules and courses are developed.
2. Initial engagement will be a paid trial with one or two videos.
