1000kg Stratospheric Balloon Rocket Platform -- 2

Job ID: 39774368

Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR

I am developing a stratospheric balloon capable of lofting a full-scale, 1 000 kg “02 infinity company type” launch rocket to an altitude within the 12–50 km band. The mission is not about gathering meteorological or atmospheric data; the sole objective—exactly as stated in my answers—is to carry the rocket, stabilize it, and provide a reliable, repeatable release platform so the vehicle can ignite in near-vacuum conditions.

What I need from you is a complete engineering package that covers every stage of the balloon system: envelope sizing for helium or hydrogen, structural load paths, thermal considerations, ascent dynamics, ballast strategy, and an interface that mates cleanly with the rocket’s mounting hardware. Please ground all recommendations in fluid-dynamic and finite-element analysis; toolchains such as ANSYS, SolidWorks, MATLAB/Simulink, OpenRocket or comparable industry-standard software are expected.

Deliverables
• Detailed CAD models (balloon envelope, gondola, rocket cradle, vent & valve hardware)
• Lift-gas and ascent-rate calculations validated by simulation outputs
• Structural and thermal FEA files with commentary on safety factors
• Step-by-step flight profile and cut-down/vent procedures, including redundancy logic
• Bill of materials with sourcing notes for high-altitude fabrics, valves, tethers, avionics, and tracking/telemetry

Acceptance criteria
• Simulated lift margin > 1.5× for a 1 000 kg payload at 20 km & 50 km reference points
• Predicted ascent rate ≥ 5 m s⁻¹ while maintaining longitudinal stability within 5°
• Release mechanism demonstrated (simulation or prototype test) to separate rocket without imparting > 3° pitch/roll

If this challenge aligns with your high-altitude or launch-vehicle experience, let’s discuss your initial concept sketch and timeline.
