Medium Payload Delivery Drone Design

Job ID: 39922604

Budget: $15 – $25 CAD

I’m ready to move from concept to working prototype for a custom UAV that can reliably carry a 2–5 kg payload for last-mile delivery. My priority is a well-engineered airframe, propulsion, and control system that balances range, flight time, and safety while staying within that medium payload window.

I will shortlist candidates based on the strength of their detailed project proposals, so please walk me through your suggested architecture, key components, and development timeline rather than a generic résumé dump. Practical experience with composite airframes, efficient power systems, and autonomous navigation (PX4, ArduPilot, or similar) is a big plus, but I’m happy to hear alternative stacks if they serve the delivery mission better.

Deliverables I need to see:
• Design package: CAD files, BOM, and structural analysis for a 2–5 kg payload
• Flight control setup: firmware configuration, ground-station integration, and waypoint delivery workflow
• Prototype validation: video or flight logs demonstrating stable flight under load, with notes on any tuning

Acceptance criteria: the prototype must lift 2 kg minimum, sustain at least 15 minutes of flight, and land within a 1 m radius of the target.

If you can map out a realistic path from design to flight-tested unit, including key milestones and testing methods, I’d love to review your proposal.
