Expert ArduPilot Hexacopter Tuning
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
My 35 kg AUW hexacopter (Cube Orange+ running the ArduPilot on an EFT E616P frame with Hobbywing X8 motors and dual Here3+ RTK GPS base) already handles routine flights without trouble however, I want the kind of hover that looks glued in place and a Loiter that refuses to drift.
Task at hand
Dig into the supplied BIN logs, isolate the exact causes and refine the tune until hover stability, Loiter precision and overall vibration levels meet professional-cinema standards. Expect to lean on FFT analysis, harmonic notch setup, advanced PID optimisation and all the usual Mission Planner tools. Large-frame experience (25 kg and up) with Pixhawk hardware is essential.
Deliverables
• Detailed written analysis of at least three representative flights, including EKF, VIBE, RATE and ATT reviews with supporting graphs.
• Updated .param file with a concise change log explaining every modified value.
• A short flight-test plan so I can validate the results safely.
Acceptance criteria
Hands-off hover and Loiter for 60 s with no visible swing or drift, plus average vibration below 1-2 m/s² on all axes as confirmed in new logs. When those numbers are achieved, the milestone is complete.
Mission Planner BIN files are ready to share immediately, and additional test flights can be recorded on request. Let’s lock this big bird in the air, rock-steady.
