CFD Analysis of Bio-Inspired Drone

Job ID: 40457640

Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR

I need a complete CFD study on my bio-inspired bottom-mass UAV so I can validate its passive aerodynamic stability for my final-year project. All simulation work must be carried out in ANSYS Fluent, since that is the package approved by my department and the one I am familiar with for cross-checking.

Scope of analysis
The model has to be evaluated for stability, overall drag, and detailed airflow behaviour around the fuselage, wings and the suspended mass underneath. I would like to understand how the centre-of-gravity placement influences passive righting moments and whether any vortical structures assist or hinder trim.

What I will hand over
• Clean STEP and Parasolid files of the airframe, including moving control surfaces
• A summary of mission profiles, Re numbers, and the trim airspeed range
• Target performance metrics that my supervisor expects

Expected outputs
• 3D visualisations (pressure, velocity, vorticity) that clearly show the flow field
• Graphs and charts for Cp distributions, lift/drag polars, and moment coefficients
• Annotated screenshots that highlight regions of flow separation or recirculation
• A concise technical note (2-3 pages) interpreting the key findings and linking them back to the passive-stability concept

Acceptance criteria
1. Converged steady-state solutions at three operating points plus one transient run.
2. Grid-independence demonstrated with at least two mesh densities.
3. All plots supplied in both native Fluent formats and high-resolution PNG.
4. Short report written in clear academic English, ready to be dropped into my dissertation appendix.

If this aligns with your experience, please tell me briefly about similar drone or MAV projects you have simulated, how long you would need for each milestone, and your proposed fee. I’m aiming for a professional yet budget-conscious collaboration and will be available throughout to answer technical questions or provide additional model details.
