My project title is designing airports of the future.

The description is as follows;
Aviation can often be seen as a symbiosis between passengers and air freight. Passenger airlines rely on the revenue earned from freight to maintain some routes and vice versa. Environmental concerns are driving a shift toward carbon-neutral and energy-efficient transport for passengers and freight. Services are increasingly needing to blend into wider tech-enabled ecosystems that rely heavily on automation, AI, and IoT. In order to remain relevant, airports must adapt also; however, they must also be responsive to changing market demands. Focussing on the freight sector, airports may need to re-think their strategies and design for the future.

For this project I want to create an airport near Peterborough, I need to say it’s more efficient because there aren’t repeated security checks, I also want to automate the loading process in some way because it mentions focusing on the freight sector.

Assignment Tasks:

The Project Report is a major piece of work written individually and unique to each student.

The length of the main body of the report shall not normally exceed 40 pages or approximately 12,000 words, excluding the cover page, contents page, list of tables and figures, glossary, acknowledgements, abstract, references, bibliography, and appendices.

The report should be a self-contained document that completely describes the project. When writing the report, the student should consider that any subsequent reader should be able to gain valuable knowledge from it.
