Kickstarter Manager for Arcade-Style Sports Game
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
Project Overview:
I’m preparing to launch a Kickstarter for Longshot: Harmony Horizon, a retro-futuristic arcade sports game that fuses tennis with elements of survival, power-ups, and character-driven narrative. Think “Tennis meets The Floor is Lava meets The Hunger Games.”
This project is not speculative — I’ve already invested over $30,000 into development, visuals, and alpha gameplay using Unreal Engine. Now I’m looking for a Kickstarter strategist or campaign partner who can drive the prelaunch, lead generation, and full campaign strategy from now through launch.
I’ve previously worked with multiple PR partners, but unfortunately, most have fallen short in execution or left the campaign midstream. I’m now looking for someone who wants to collaborate, not just charge a fee and disappear — someone who sees potential and wants to help make it a success.
What I’m Looking For:
Proven Kickstarter experience (ideally in PC/console video games)
Portfolio of campaigns that raised over $100K or ideally $1M+
Willing to work on a milestone-based or performance-aligned compensation structure (retainer + rev share or bonus on success)
Deep understanding of prelaunch strategy, CPL targets, and how to build a list of warm leads
Experience with digital ads (Facebook/Instagram/Google), community growth, email sequences, and campaign page strategy
Based in North America (preferred but not mandatory for the right fit)
Responsibilities Include:
Develop and execute a prelaunch strategy to build qualified email registrations
Coordinate or advise on paid media strategy (ad copy, creatives, targeting)
Support or co-develop Kickstarter campaign content (tiers, stretch goals, story, CTAs)
Launch and manage email funnels (prelaunch, live, closing)
Help seed influencer interest, Reddit/blog awareness, Discord growth
Monitor campaign performance and help iterate based on data
Provide weekly check-ins and collaborative planning
What I Can Offer You:
Flexible compensation: milestone-based or performance-linked model
Opportunity to be listed as official partner/promoter on the campaign
Direct collaboration with founder — I’m hands-on and execution-focused
A fully realized creative vision, with alpha gameplay and pre-signups already in place
Potential to stay on post-campaign for ongoing growth and platform expansion (Steam, Switch, etc.)
Who This Is Not For:
Agencies charging high flat rates with no performance accountability
Generic Facebook ad resellers with no experience in gaming
Anyone not ready to fully commit through the campaign lifecycle
How to Apply (Required Questions):
Link to 1–2 Kickstarter campaigns you’ve worked on (especially video games). What was your exact role?
What is the most successful Kickstarter project you’ve supported (in $ raised)?
What’s your average CPL (cost per email signup) on past campaigns, and through what platforms?
Are you open to a revenue share or performance-based model?
What’s your general availability over the next 2–3 months?
Based on what you understand about Longshot, what excites or stands out to you?
About Me:
I’m the founder of Owls in Cowls, and the creator of Longshot. I come from a software and analytics background, with a track record of launching and scaling products that generate real revenue. My goal is to build Longshot not only as a game, but potentially as a new sport, franchise, and media property (comics, TV, film).
