THE STORY

My father was T/Sgt. Burton P. "Pat" Christenson — Dick Winters' #2 man in Easy Company, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division. When Winters stepped out of Plane 526 into the darkness over Normandy, my father was right behind him. He fought through the hedgerows. He made a daylight combat jump into Holland. He survived the siege of Bastogne. He marched into Hitler's Eagle's Nest. Three years, three months, thirteen days. Two combat jumps. Four battle stars.

He came home and never asked for anything.

But he left something behind that no other soldier in Easy Company ever created — fifty original pencil drawings of the war, rendered from memory by the man who carried a .30 caliber machine gun across Europe. His most famous drawing sits in the middle of Stephen Ambrose's Band of Brothers. It's been seen by millions. Ambrose called his sketches "obviously almost priceless."

After the war, my father spent decades writing — seven volumes of memoir, hundreds of typed pages, the most detailed first-person account any Easy Company soldier ever produced. Dick Winters said: "When it came time for the big jump, I wanted my best, most dependable man right behind me. That was Pat."

The world saw what my father drew. They never heard what he had to say.

This book changes that.

THE AUDIENCE IS ALREADY WAITING

This is not a book searching for readers. The readers have been waiting for 30 years.

• 30+ million copies of Band of Brothers sold worldwide
• 500+ million viewers of the HBO series — still streaming, still growing
• 9.4 on IMDB — one of the highest-rated productions in television history
• Active daily fan communities on Facebook, Reddit (r/BandofBrothers — 37,000+ members), YouTube, TikTok, and dozens of dedicated fan sites and podcasts — still posting daily, 25 years after the series aired
• The National WWII Museum is hosting the Band of Brothers 25th Anniversary Symposium in New Orleans, July 29 – August 2, 2026 — one month after our launch
• A 25th anniversary edition of Ambrose's book was recently released with a new foreword by Tom Hanks
• HBO produced an 11-part official rewatch podcast in 2021 that drew massive audiences

Our family is not on the outside looking in. I was at the Hollywood premiere at the Hollywood Bowl — 5,000 people — standing with Spielberg, Hanks, Damian Lewis, and Stephen Ambrose. Tom and Steven displayed 40 of my father's original drawings at that premiere. I stood on Omaha Beach at the Normandy premiere beside Michael Fassbender, who portrayed my father in the series. HBO built a massive temporary theater right on the beach where we watched Band of Brothers with the veterans' families and the last surviving Screaming Eagles. The Royal Air Force flew over. The 101st Airborne flew in. My father's photograph was chosen as the cover of the Band of Brothers special collector's magazine featuring Tom Hanks' exclusive interview.

The moment is here. June 6, 2026 — the anniversary of the day my father jumped into combat.

WHAT I NEED

A complete, executable marketing campaign — not a template, not a strategy deck that sits on a shelf — built and run by someone who looks at this project and sees what I see.

Social Media Buildout & Management
• Build and manage presence on Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest
• Content strategy built around the drawings — one drawing at a time, each with its story, dripped across every platform to build anticipation before launch. The drawings are the viral engine. They're visually stunning, historically unique, and emotionally powerful
• Targeted engagement in Band of Brothers fan groups across Facebook, Reddit, and dedicated fan sites
• Short-form video content for TikTok and YouTube — drawing reveals, the stories behind the art, behind-the-scenes of the book

Amazon & Retail Strategy
• KDP and Amazon optimization — keywords, categories, A+ content, launch day strategy
• Pre-order campaign to build momentum before June 6
• Launch week blitz designed to maximize first-week sales and bestseller list placement
• Post-launch sustained visibility plan

Paid Advertising
• Amazon Ads — build, manage, optimize
• Facebook and Instagram campaigns targeting Band of Brothers fans, WWII history enthusiasts, military communities, veteran organizations
• Budget management and performance reporting

Media & PR Outreach
• Podcast pitching — WWII history podcasts, military shows, veteran community programs, BookTok creators
• Press outreach to military history publications, veteran organizations, and mainstream media
• Maximize the June 6 D-Day anniversary for press coverage
• Pursue presence at the National WWII Museum's 25th Anniversary Symposium — book signing, panel, drawing exhibition
• Strategic outreach to HBO, Band of Brothers social accounts, and individuals connected to the production

Influencer & Community Engagement
• Identify and engage WWII history influencers across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram
• Coordinate with military history bloggers, veteran organizations, and the 101st Airborne Division Association
• Seed advance copies to key voices in the Band of Brothers and WWII history communities

1. Your experience marketing books — specifically nonfiction, military history, or memoir
2. Bestseller campaigns you've been part of and the results
3. Your experience with social media management and paid advertising for book launches

___

This is my father's legacy. He gave his drawings and his words to history. My job is to make sure the world finally sees them.

I don't need someone who markets books. I need someone who understands that this one is different — and knows exactly what to do with it.
