Video Editor (Cinematic, Story-Driven)

The Role
We’re looking for a talented Adobe-based Video Editor who can take raw footage and turn it into cinematic, meaningful, story-driven content. If you can shape a 10-minute monologue into a cohesive, emotionally engaging narrative that feels clean, modern, and binge-worthy — this role is designed for you.
You’ll support a fast-growing founder-led brand with a large pipeline of educational and storytelling-style videos. We’re looking for someone who can elevate ideas, move quickly, work autonomously, and deliver polished edits across multiple platforms.
What You’ll Do
- Edit long-form and short-form content into clean, cinematic, high-retention videos
- Shape narrative arcs, pacing, emotional tone, and visual storytelling
- Identify key moments in raw footage and build cohesive stories
- Add graphics, text, sound design, animations, and visual elements to elevate meaning
- Adapt content for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms
- Build editing templates and systems to streamline future production
- Recommend B-roll, music, and stylistic choices that enhance engagement
- Work independently in a fast-moving, remote environment and meet deadlines consistently
What You Bring
- 3+ years of professional video editing experience
- Deep understanding of pacing, rhythm, emotion, and narrative structure
- Strong design eye (composition, typography, color, motion)
- Proficiency in Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools
- Up-to-date knowledge of editing trends and visual styles used by top creators
- Experience using modern AI editing tools to improve speed and quality
- Excellent communication, time management, and ability to work autonomously
Bonus:
- Experience editing for coaches, founders, creators, or personal brands
- Motion graphics or light animation experience
- Strong judgment in visual aesthetics and color grading
