YouTube Video Editor – Cinematic Business Documentary Style (Premiere Pro, After Effects, SFX)

Job ID: 40548397

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

We're building a YouTube channel in the business history / corporate exposé documentary space — long-form "mini movie" style videos about founders, frauds, and corporate empires. Our editing reference is MagnatesMedia (youtube.com/@MagnatesMedia) — if you know that channel's style, you already know exactly what we're looking for.

We provide:

A finished, polished script (ready to edit from)
An ElevenLabs AI voiceover track

Your job: turn that script + voiceover into a cinematic, high-retention finished video — stock footage/B-roll selection, motion graphics, sound design, color grading, and pacing that keeps viewers watching for the full 20-30 minutes.

If you're skilled enough to clean up, enhance, or re-process the AI voiceover (EQ, de-noise, natural pacing adjustments, making it sound less robotic) — let us know. That's a separate add-on we'll pay extra for.

What the Final Video Should Feel Like (Reference: MagnatesMedia)

Cinematic pacing — not a fast TikTok-style cut-fest, but not slow either. Pacing that matches a serious narrator telling a true story.
Heavy use of stock footage & B-roll synced precisely to the narration — archival-style footage, relevant business/location/people footage, news clips where available.
Motion graphics for key numbers, stats, timelines, and quotes — text animations that emphasize the narrator's biggest reveals (e.g., a dollar figure exploding onto screen, a timeline building as the story moves through years).
Strong sound design — tension-building music underneath narration, sting/hit sounds on big reveals, ambient SFX (paper shuffling, phone ringing, crowd noise, etc.) layered under relevant scenes to add immersion.
Smooth, professional color grading — consistent visual tone across all footage so stock clips from different sources don't feel mismatched.
Subtle kinetic captions/subtitles for accessibility and retention (optional but a plus).
Pattern interrupts every 30-60 seconds — a visual change, a music shift, a quick zoom/graphic — to prevent viewer drop-off during long narration stretches.

Required Skills & Software:
Adobe Premiere Pro
Adobe After Effects
Adobe Photoshop
Sound design / SFX
Strong stock footage research skills (Storyblocks, Pexels, Envato, Artlist, or similar libraries)
Experience editing documentary-style / business storytelling content specifically — NOT vlog or talking-head editing

Deliverables Per Video

Fully edited video (30-35 min), synced to provided voiceover and script
Motion graphics for key facts/numbers/quotes
Full sound design pass
Color-graded, consistent visual style throughout
One YouTube thumbnail (Photoshop) in the channel's visual style
1–2 rounds of revisions included

Please Share With Your Application:

Portfolio/past edits — specifically documentary-style, business, true-crime, or history content. Direct video links preferred over a generic reel.
If you don't have an exact niche match, a sample edit in a similar storytelling style (cinematic pacing + motion graphics + sound design) is fine.
Mention if you can work directly from a script + AI voiceover without needing a shot-by-shot brief for every scene.
Your turnaround time for a 35 minute video.
Your rate — per video (preferred) or hourly.

(Reference for the style we want, in case it's useful to share back to applicants: search "MagnatesMedia" on YouTube — videos like "Rockefeller: The World's First Billionaire" or "The Dark Truth About Nestlé" are a good visual/pacing benchmark.)
