YouTube Documentary Editor Needed
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m piecing together a YouTube documentary-style story and need an experienced editor to turn my footage into a cohesive narrative. The project calls for classic documentary pacing: clear story arcs, smooth transitions, purposeful cuts, and the emotional pull that keeps viewers watching through to the end.
Key requirements
• Arrange and trim raw clips into a 10–12-minute storyline (length may shift slightly once we see pacing)
• Craft or polish the voice-over script, ensuring it matches the visuals and moves the story forward
• Edit the final audio track, synchronising the recorded narration with on-screen moments and balancing levels throughout
• Add titles, lower-thirds, subtle motion graphics, and light colour correction that feels cinematic but not over-produced
• Deliver a ready-to-upload 1080p (or higher) file plus the project file (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or Resolve—use whichever you’re fastest in)
Acceptance criteria
1. Story flows logically, with no jarring cuts or missing context.
2. Voice-over aligns within ±1 sec of intended beats and has consistent volume.
3. Visuals are colour-balanced, free of unwanted noise, and include tasteful titles.
4. One round of feedback revisions is included.
If you’re comfortable shaping a narrative from raw footage, blending in a compelling voice-over, and exporting an upload-ready documentary, let’s get started.
