Wedding Highlight Reel Editing
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Wedding Film Editor Needed – Documentary Style
I'm looking for a talented video editor to create a MAXIMUM 15–20 minute wedding film from a combination of camcorder footage, phone videos, and photos.
Our wedding took place over two celebrations, four days apart—an intimate legal ceremony in Michigan followed by a destination wedding in Mexico. I want the final film to tell one continuous story, not feel like two separate weddings.
Footage includes:
Getting ready/interviews/funny moments
First look with my dad
Marriage license signing
Michigan karaoke celebration
Mexico getting ready (one video)
Mexico ceremony (including vows)
Dinner footage/Best Man and Maid of honor speeches
First dance
Father/daughter dance
Reception and dancing videos
Also would love to include some other relationship photos and videos to incorporate during emotional moments as kind of B roll
Editing Style:
Polished but nostalgic
Cinematic home-video feel
Strong storytelling
Authentic and personality-driven
Natural audio (vows, speeches, laughter) preserved where appropriate
Tasteful pacing and transitions (not a flashy social media reel)
Ideal Skills & Experience:
Wedding film editing
Documentary/storytelling editing style
Experience mixing video, photos, and audio
Strong attention to detail and communication
Ability to collaborate on revisions and creative direction
Please include full-length wedding film samples (not just highlight reels) and let me know your editing process, revision policy, and estimated turnaround time.
here are a links to some example videos that are kind of the style we want:
