Maintain strong pacing while preserving necessary context.
Cut dead time, repetition, and irrelevant sections.
Perform basic audio cleanup (leveling, noise reduction).
Add minimal edits: captions, zooms, cuts, simple graphics if needed.
Deliver YouTube-ready videos.
Requirements
Proven experience editing true crime, documentary, or bodycam-style content.
Strong narrative judgment and pacing for long-form videos (10–60+ minutes).
Ability to work with sensitive or graphic material professionally.
Accuracy-focused: no fabricated context, misleading cuts, or invented narratives.
Proficiency in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
Organized workflow and consistent output quality.
VIDEO SHOULD BE:
Similar to popular YouTube bodycam and interrogation channels, like Midwest Safety.
Workflow
Raw footage and narration will be provided.
No need to put captions.
Reasonable revisions included.
Consistent turnaround expected once workflow is established.
To Apply
Send examples of relevant true crime or documentary-style edits.
Must be willing to complete a paid test edit first.
This is a per-video role at $15 per video. PRICE FIRM. DO NOT APPLY if this is unacceptable. Opportunity for bonus if video is successful.
