I’d like my 14-year-old to master the complete process of producing YouTube videos and eye-catching social-media ads, from the first concept through to hitting the upload button. Clear, easy-to-follow English is essential—an accent that’s simple for a teenager to understand will make the sessions flow.

The priority is teaching how to craft genuinely engaging content. Technique matters, but only in service of storytelling, pacing, and attention-grabbing hooks. You’re free to recommend the editing platform you feel suits a young beginner best; whether that ends up being Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, iMovie, or something else, I’m open to your suggestions as long as you can demonstrate why it’s the right fit.

By the end of our time together my son should confidently:
• plan storyboards and scripts tailored to each platform
• shoot, light, and record sound with gear we already own (simple DSLR and phone)
• edit, add graphics, music, and captions that boost watch-time
• export correctly for YouTube and short-form channels, then analyse basic metrics to improve the next video
