Team Player - Video & Audio Editor

Job ID: 40273993

Budget: $2 – $8 USD

I am is seeking a reliable, long-term Video & Audio Editor to join our production team. We produce multiple weekly podcasts ranging from solo monologues to lively multi-cam panels. You will be stepping directly into existing Adobe Premiere projects to deliver polished, on-brand episodes. This is a strictly HOURLY position (30–40 hours per week). We are not looking for "per project" bids.

I need a team member who is available in Slack during Pacific Standard Time (PST) for real-time collaboration and feedback loops.

The Technical Requirements To maintain the fast-paced workflow, you must meet the following criteria:
• Software: Run the latest release of Adobe Premiere Pro (no exceptions, for project file compatibility).
• Hardware: High-speed internet and hardware capable of downloading, scrubbing, and exporting long 4K video files.
• Workflow: All work is done via a shared Dropbox. You must adhere to a strict folder and naming convention.
• Asset Management: Any asset imported into a project must be placed in the Dropbox folder.

Projects must be "transfer-ready" at all times so other team members can open them without missing media.

The Editing Standard • No Nested Audio: This is a firm rule. The multi-cam video layer stays at the top; every isolated raw audio track remains below it. Never nest audio.

• Fast Turnaround: Assets must be processed ASAP. You will tighten edits, balance levels, and insert titles/lower-thirds.

• Resources: You will have access to our motion graphics artists for complex assets and our private music library for scoring.

Communication & Logistics
• Availability: Must be available during US (PST) business hours for Slack check-ins.
• Payment: Hourly only. I do not have the bandwidth to manage multiple daily milestones. Please ensure your hourly bid is your final and accurate rate.
• Trial Period: We will start with a single paid test episode. If the workflow and quality align, we will immediately scale you up to multiple shows per week (30-40 hours).
