Teach Me TikTok Video Editing

I’m ready to start producing short, punchy tutorial videos—mostly food and product how-tos—for TikTok, but I need a patient editor-mentor who can walk me through the entire creative process.

Here’s what I’m after:
• We will focus on editing tutorial-style footage specifically for TikTok’s 9:16 format.
• I want to learn how to cut quickly, add on-screen text, handle voice-overs, insert music that won’t get flagged, and keep the final clip under one minute without losing clarity.
• My aesthetic leans toward a clean, minimal look that still feels lively and colourful enough to hold viewers’ attention.

Ideal flow
1. You demonstrate a workflow live (screen-share is fine) using the editor you’re most comfortable with—CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or another mainstream tool.
2. We edit one of my raw clips together so I understand pacing, transitions, basic colour tweaks, and sound balancing.
3. You leave me with a short checklist or template I can reuse for future videos.

Acceptance criteria
• By the end of our sessions I can independently cut, add captions, music, and basic effects, then export a ready-to-upload .mp4 that meets TikTok guidelines.
• At least one finished 30–60 second tutorial video edited during coaching.
