## About the Role
We are looking for a talented Freelance Video Editor who can transform raw footage into engaging, high-retention educational content for doctors and healthcare brands. The ideal candidate understands storytelling, pacing, audience psychology, and modern retention editing techniques.
You will work closely with our content team to create YouTube videos, Instagram Reels, and Shorts that simplify complex medical topics while keeping viewers engaged from start to finish.
## Responsibilities
* Edit long-form YouTube videos and short-form content (Reels & Shorts).
* Create engaging story-driven edits that improve audience retention.
* Add relevant B-roll, stock footage, graphics, animations, and visual aids.
* Design clean and professional motion graphics for educational content.
* Enhance videos with sound effects, music, and audio cleanup.
* Collaborate with the content team to execute creative briefs and scripts.
* Maintain consistency in branding, style, and visual quality.
* Deliver projects within agreed timelines.
## Requirements
* Strong experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar editing software.
* Working knowledge of After Effects and motion graphics.
* Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and viewer retention.
* Ability to edit educational or information-heavy content in an engaging manner.
* Experience using stock footage, animations, text overlays, and visual storytelling techniques.
* Understanding of YouTube and social media content formats.
* Good communication skills and ability to take feedback positively.
## Preferred Qualifications
* Experience editing healthcare, educational, coaching, or podcast content.
* Knowledge of YouTube audience retention and engagement principles.
* Ability to create custom animations and infographic-style visuals.
* Experience working remotely with content teams.
