Short-Form Video Editor (Reels / Shorts) – Paid Test → Monthly Work

DESCRIPTION

I’m looking for a skilled short-form video editor to collaborate on organic social media content (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts).

This project starts with one paid test edit.
If the quality and retention are strong, this will turn into ongoing monthly work.

You will work through me. Client communication and strategy are handled on my side. Your focus is execution.


PAID TEST TASK

You’ll be given one existing gym Reel to re-edit.

- Requirements
Vertical format (9:16)
Length: 10–30 seconds
Clear, unmistakable hook in the first 1–2 seconds
Tight pacing, no dead air
Music that fits modern gym / fitness content

- Style guardrails
No over-editing
No cinematic effects
No Canva-style or recycled templates
Must feel native to Instagram
Clean, punchy, retention-focused


DELIVERABLES

One vertical MP4 (9:16)
Optional .srt captions if text is not burned in
One revision round


ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA

Hook grabs attention in under 2 seconds
Sharp cuts, no filler frames
Audio balanced so dialogue is always clear
Visual style follows the guardrails above


ONGOING WORK (after test)

Monthly retainer: $200 -$700 AUD depending on output and quality
Expected output: ~20–30 short-form videos per month
Long-term collaboration if quality remains consistent
