Restore Old Camcorder Videos
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have a collection of family videos that were captured years ago on a Sony camcorder and saved as MPEG files. Time has not been kind—soft focus and slight color fade now distract from the memories themselves. I’d like every scene treated with equal care, bringing back as much clarity as possible while keeping colors natural and true-to-life (no aggressive saturation or vintage filters).
Please apply thoughtful sharpening or upscale techniques to counter the blurriness, then perform gentle color correction so skin tones, landscapes, and interiors look authentic to the era they were filmed. Light noise reduction is welcome as long as it doesn’t smear detail.
The original MPEGs will be supplied via a shared drive. Once the work is complete, I’d like high-quality masters (ProRes, DNxHD, or a well-tuned H.264/HEVC) plus a small before/after sample for quick comparison—and the project file or settings used, in case we revisit them later.
