(RPE) Video Editors for a Canadian YouTube channel with 400k subscribers
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I run a growing internet-documentary channel and I’m ready to bring five talented editors onto the team. Each week you’ll receive a recorded voice-over (typically 12-17 minutes long) and the raw assets required to turn it into a polished YouTube video in a style close to the reference I shared (www.youtube.com/watch?v=jld3LLODQvQ).
Workload & cadence
• Expect at least one video every week and up to three when things ramp up.
• Because speed matters, I’ll brief you as soon as the script is locked so you can begin sourcing b-roll, screenshots, memes, motion graphics, or anything else that keeps the viewer hooked.
Compensation
Your payout is calculated per finished voice-over minute—up to $5 depending on the quality of your test sample. A 15-minute documentary that meets the channel’s standards would therefore earn $75.
What collaboration looks like
You’ll work directly with me or one of my channel managers. Early on we’ll iterate together so your pacing, typography, and overall storytelling match the brand. Once you’re dialed in, you’ll edit autonomously with periodic feedback rounds in Frame.io (or a similar review tool).
Tools
I’m flexible on software—Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, anything that lets you deliver clean project files alongside the rendered 4K MP4.
Deliverables for each episode
1. Final 4K video mastered for YouTube (optimized loudness, clear VO-sync, no copyright flags)
2. Editable project file with all linked media neatly organized
3. Thumbnail suggestions are a bonus but not mandatory
If you’re passionate about long-form YouTube storytelling and can keep viewers glued to the screen, send over your best sample cut that proves it. Impressive editors will also be considered for my other channels down the road.
