Professional Sermon Video Editing (6 Episodes)

Job ID: 40240913

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

Freelancer Job Post: Sermon Video Editor (6 Episodes | iPhone Video + Clean Audio + Slides + Manuscript)

I’m looking for an experienced video editor to produce polished sermon videos for YouTube and church distribution. Each sermon includes:

* 1 iPhone video recording (single-camera)
* 1 cleaner/secondary audio recording
* PowerPoint slides (sermon graphics)
* My manuscript (for reference)

Project Scope (per sermon)

1. Trim the video to remove the pre-service / music portion (and any dead time at start/end).
2. Sync + normalize audio using the iPhone audio and secondary audio (choose best source, align, correct drift if needed, and deliver consistent loudness).
3. Edit for pacing: remove long pauses, verbal glitches, mistaken words, and obvious “reset” moments while keeping the delivery natural (no jumpy/over-edited feel).
4. Insert sermon graphics from the slide deck at appropriate moments (clean, readable, timed well).
5. Add intro/outro music plus simple branded opening/closing (I can provide music and any logos/branding, or you can propose royalty-free options).
6. Picture polish: center/straighten the frame as needed, color-correct for consistent exposure/white balance, and crop for a clean 16:9 deliverable (or match platform format).
7. Simulated second-camera / close-ups: on a few sermons, use tasteful punch-ins (scale/reframe) to create occasional close-up moments and add visual variety. Do this sparingly so it feels natural and not “zoom-y.”

Content Volume

* 6 total sermons
* Average length ~45 minutes (2 sermons are 60+ minutes)

Deliverables (per sermon)

* Final edited video: MP4 (H.264), 1080p preferred (or matching source if lower), optimized for YouTube
* Audio should be clear, consistent, and broadcast-ready (no clipping, no pumping, minimal background noise)
* Optional but preferred: separate WAV of the final audio mix
* Optional: basic thumbnail frame grab

Style Expectations

* Clean, professional sermon/teaching-video standard
* Smooth edits (simple cuts/crossfades as needed)
* Graphics inserted cleanly (no clutter, proper sizing, safe margins)
* Audio is the priority: intelligibility and consistent volume throughout
* Color and framing consistent across the entire sermon

What You Should Have

* Proven long-form editing experience (sermons, podcasts, interviews, teaching videos, etc.)
* Strong audio workflow: sync, drift correction, EQ/compression/limiting, loudness normalization
* Comfortable with basic color correction and reframing/cropping without degrading quality
* Reliable exporting and file delivery for long timelines

To Apply
Please include:

1. A short message describing your workflow for syncing dual-audio and cleaning long-form speech
2. 1–3 portfolio samples (YouTube links are fine) of similar long-form edits
3. Your editing software/tools (Premiere, Resolve, Final Cut, etc.)
4. Estimated turnaround time per sermon once files are provided

Budget

* $50 max per sermon/video (6 videos total = up to $300)
* I’m open to doing one paid test edit first (same per-video rate) to confirm fit, then complete the remaining five
