Personal Documentary Video Editing
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I’ve gathered several hours of raw footage for a personal documentary and now need a skilled video editor to bring the story to life. The material is already organised by date and event; what’s missing is a thoughtful edit that shapes it into a compelling narrative.
The cut should flow like a classic documentary—steady pacing, clean transitions, and an engaging arc that keeps viewers invested from the opening scene to the final frame.
Key elements I want incorporated:
• Voice-over / narration synced to the visuals (I’ll supply the recorded audio).
• Background music blended under dialogue for mood without overpowering it; you may suggest royalty-free tracks if you have favourites.
• On-screen text captions for speaker identification, dates, and key facts.
Colour correction, audio levelling, and simple motion graphics for lower thirds are part of the job. I work comfortably with Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve project files, so either of those toolsets is perfect.
Deliverables
• First cut for review (MP4 + project file)
• One round of revisions based on my notes
• Final 1080p render plus all working files
If you’re experienced in documentary storytelling and enjoy polishing personal projects, I’d love to see a short reel or two that shows your touch with voice-overs, music beds, and captioning.
