Long-Term Documentary Video Editor

Job ID: 40356393

Budget: $10 – $40 CAD

I publish every 3 documentary-style pieces on YouTube and need a dependable editor to handle the full post-production cycle on an ongoing basis. Your task is to craft a cohesive story that feels cinematic yet fast-paced enough for the platform.

The workflow centres on Adobe Premiere Pro for the main cut and Adobe After Effects for polish. Every episode requires:

• Motion graphics
• Text animations (lower thirds, call-outs, chapter cards)
• Visual effects that reinforce the narrative—subtle compositing, screen replacements, light tracking, etc.

Expect to blend B-roll, stills, archival clips, and freshly recorded VO to keep the pacing tight and the visuals engaging. Colour correction, audio sweetening, and export in 4K and 1080p are standard.

Deliverables for each video
1. Final video (MP4, H.264, 4K + 1080p)
2. Premiere project file with linked media organised
3. After Effects project(s) with all assets
4. Thumbnail frame exported as PNG

Acceptance criteria
• Graphics match my channel’s existing style guide (provided)
• Story flows logically with no dead air; pacing maintains viewer retention
• All titles, captions, and animations are error-free and on-brand
• Master audio peaks at –3 dB, dialog clearly balanced against music/SFX

My budget is $40 for each video but in future we will increase.

Average episode length ranges from 5-10 minutes. We’ll start with one paid test video; if we both enjoy the collaboration, I plan to release two documentaries per week and scale from there.
