Long-Form Documentary Video Edit
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I’m sitting on a batch of raw, long-form footage for a journalism-style YouTube piece and need an editor who can shape it into a clear, engaging narrative without slipping into sensationalism. The finished cut should feel like a balanced mini-documentary: informative, neutral in tone, and paced for viewers who want depth rather than quick sound-bites.
Here’s what you’ll be working with
• A-roll interviews already organised chronologically
• A library of B-roll from field shoots and archives
• Pre-recorded voice-over tracks for narration
Your task is to weave these elements together—selecting the strongest interview bites, layering B-roll to illustrate key points, and timing my narration so the story flows naturally. Colour correction, audio mixing, and subtle graphics (lower thirds, chapter cards) will all be part of the job, but nothing too flashy; clarity and credibility come first.
Deliverables
– One polished master video ready for YouTube upload (4K H.264 + matched ProRes or project file)
– An organised project file with all assets properly linked
– A 30-second teaser cut for social media (optional, but let me know if you can add this)
I edit in Premiere Pro myself, so sticking to that ecosystem—or providing a neat XML for it—will keep revisions smooth. If DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut is your preference, just be sure export settings match YouTube’s recommended specs.
