Engaging Educational Video Editing
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I’ve recorded a lesson that teaches high-schoolers a core academic concept and I now need it shaped into a polished, attention-holding video. All the raw footage is ready; what’s missing is the line-by-line edit that trims fluff, tightens pacing, and injects interactive energy without losing educational clarity.
What I’m after
• Clean, seamless cuts that remove pauses, stumbles, and off-topic chatter.
• Clear on-screen text, lower-thirds, or quick motion graphics that emphasise key terms and prompt viewers to think or respond.
• Balanced audio, light colour correction, and subtle royalty-free background music that complements—not distracts from—the explanation.
• Open captions so every student can follow along, with timing checked against the final cut.
Preferred workflow
You may use Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve or an equivalent professional editor—whatever lets you deliver a crisp 1080p MP4 plus the editable project file. I’ll supply the footage, any reference slides, and a rough script indicating sections to spotlight. A first draft within five days works for me, and I’m happy to give consolidated feedback for one revision round.
Acceptance criteria
• Final runtime matches the lesson plan and maintains steady engagement.
• No audible pops, abrupt transitions, or colour mismatches.
• All requested call-outs and captions are present and correctly synchronised.
• Deliverables include both the rendered file and a neatly organised project folder.
If this sounds like your editing sweet spot, let’s turn a batch of raw clips into a video high-school students actually want to watch.
