Weekly vlogs from my YouTube channel need to be turned into tight, energetic stories that keep viewers hooked. Raw footage usually runs 30-40 minutes, and I want the final cut at 8-12 minutes, stitched together with a fast-paced rhythm and plenty of jump cuts.
Style guidelines
• Pacing: quick, no dead air—think Casey Neistat tempo.
• Transitions: mostly smooth fades or whip-pans, but sprinkle in simple cuts and the occasional creative effect for emphasis.
• Graphics: lower-third name tags and minimal motion titles when a new location or topic appears.
• Audio: balance dialogue, drop in royalty-free background tracks, and add light sound effects for punch.
Workflow
1. I share raw clips and reference timestamps via Google Drive.
2. You assemble the draft in Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve—whatever you’re fastest with—exporting a 1080p H.264 file.
3. One revision round for tweaks on pacing, text, or effects.
