Edit Short Historical Documentary Film
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I have roughly two hours of mixed footage—fresh interviews, on-location b-roll, plus several licensed archival clips—and I need it shaped into a tight, engaging documentary under the ten-minute mark that spotlights a specific historical event.
The story arc is already outlined; what I lack is the editorial finesse to weave the raw and archival material together so it feels seamless, paced, and emotionally resonant. This means:
• Sorting and trimming the interviews to pull out the strongest narrative beats
• Matching archival visuals to key moments without obvious jumps in quality or aspect ratio
• Adding tasteful lower-thirds, simple motion graphics for dates and names, and subtle sound design to glue scenes together
• Colour-matching the mixed sources and balancing dialogue, ambience, and a light musical bed
• Delivering a mastered 4K (or highest-available) file plus exported captions and the project file for future revisions
Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve are both fine; please work in whichever environment lets you get the cleanest result fastest. Turnaround is flexible within reason, though I’d love a first rough cut within a week so we can lock the story before polishing.
