Conference Video Session Cuts - turn long video into multiple short videos.
Budget: $8 – $15 AUD
Job in summary:
• Cut long video of multiple sessions into individual videos per session
• Combine zoom and camera recording for high quality video with slides.
• Add 3 x title cards, Event card, session card and at the end thanks card.
You will receive:
• 2 x videos clearly labelled (one from the camera, one of slides/zoom recording)
• Title card for conference (same for all sessions)
• Title card for session (individual per session)
• Title card for 'thanks to our sponsors' (same for all sessions)
• Agenda of the day
Initially I will send you only the morning sessions 2-3 sessions roughly 2hrs of video.
Your task is purely mechanical trimming:
• Overlay the two videos > Cut each session cleanly, from when the presenter begins their session.
• Composite the good quality camera video with the zoom (match audio, use the zoom recording to dictate the split - you will be sent a video example) See notes below.****
• Insert the title card at the very beginning, hold for roughly 2 seconds
• Insert the second title card #2 after this, hold for roughly three seconds (session card).
• Append the 'thanks to sponsors' card at the end, also held for three seconds.
• Export every finished session as an MP4 at 1080p.
Notes:
• You don't need to include the MC introduction, only the session itself (the speaker/s).
• When the slides are being presented you will PIP the camera video (to retain high quality).
• When there are no slides being presented and solely speakers on screen, you will use only the camera recording on its own (no zoom).
• You may choose the audio that sounds better (as both zoom and camera will have audio, this is the best way to sync the videos).
• Sessions vary, keynotes: one speaker with slides, panel: multiple presenters some with slides some without, presenters that present remotely (via zoom), etc.
• The zoom footage will guide you on when to use slides and when to use the good quality, by syncing the audio this can be achieved seamlessly.
The bulk of the work, is combining the zoom footage (containing slides) with the high quality camera footage.
No colour grading, graphics work, or audio tweaks are necessary—just precise cuts and those two static images. Once all sessions are delivered, I’ll spot-check the first few minutes and last few seconds of each file to confirm the cards display correctly and the trims line up with the agenda. If anything’s off, simply adjust the in/out points and resend that piece.
Everything can be done in any NLE you’re comfortable with—Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or even a lightweight cutter—as long as the technical specs stay as requested. Turnaround within 1 working week would be ideal.
Once agreed I can send you an example of previous sessions. On-going jobs for best suited candidate, note we will trial a few candidates.
